Preview Microsoft Exchange 2013 you can install on a system with Windows Server 2008R2 SP1 or Windows Server 2012 as we described it here:

Exchange 2013 new solutions

The emergence of a new version of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 introduces some changes to the Exchange environment. These changes concern both the design and administration of the servers.

System Requirements
System requirements have not changed significantly in relation to the requirements for Microsoft Exchange 2010.

The new Administration Console
In the new version there is a new console to administer servers and users. This console was called the EMC (Exchange Administration Center) and replaces consoles EMC (Exchange Management Console) and ECP (Exchange Control Panel).
The new console is said to have run faster, and she also has the support to be fast in large organizations Exchange.

Microsoft Exchange 2010 DAG database moving

For every environment comes a moment in which it appears that we lack the space. Despite numerous retention policies, backup, mailbox limits, we finally reach the base of such a size that forces us to change the place of their location.

Prior to moving Microsoft Exchange 2010 databases to a new location that we need to know:

  • transfer database operation will break in access to mailboxes located in the database. The time interval depends on the size of the database and move the time of replication in Active Directory
  • best to plan the transfer bases outside working hours, thus touches the smaller number of users and the network used by us will not be charged by other systems

Microsoft Outlook 2013 Preview what’s new

With the release of Microsoft Office 2013 Preview obtain the new version of Microsoft Outlook. The new version is designed to communicate with all what it will go, Outlook allows us to connect with your Facebook, LinkedIn, My Sites, without the installation of additional plugins.

Microsoft Outlook 2013 can be installed on Windows 7 and Windows 8 Preview.
To use the new Outlook to the mailbox located on the Exchange server, it must be one of the following versions:

  • Exchange 2007
  • Exchange 2010
  • Exchange 2013 Preview

The first change that I can see when you start Microsoft Outlook 2013 is to change the colors. The preview version of the application splash screen is blue (like Lync), not orange.
