Exchange Team released new version of Exchange 2013 Server Role Requirements Calculator.

Exchange 2013 Server Role Requirements Calculator v6.3

New version contains changes implemented by SP1, MAPI/HTTP communication and it’s impact on the CAS role servers, and also pagefile sizing guidance.

As always changes in each version you can find in Release Notes

Below changes made in 6.3 version:

  • Fixed Backup Requirements calculations to include greater than 50 databases.
  • Added additional processor core support.
  • Fixed the number of database volumes calculation when disk count is specified.
  • Fixed the database size calculation for A/P scenarios to match A/A scenario calculations.
  • Fixed the calculator to take into account halving database number per volume in non-site resilient scenarios.
  • Fixed conditional formatting errors on transport configuration settings.
  • Fixed transport sizing to take into account mailbox growth.
  • Updated CAS megacycle calculations to align with SP1 guidance.
  • Revised Dispart.ps1 script to create database mount points consistent with JetStress performance counters.
  • Added Calculator version number to record one field three of CSV export files

With new CU2 for Exchange 2013 we also received new Exchange 2013 Server Role Requirements Calculator now in version 5.9

This version reflect changes introduced by installation of CU2 for Exchange 2013 like the increased maximum number of databases per server.

Exchange 2010 Server Role Requirements Calculator v20.8

Few days ago we wrote about new version of Exchange 2010 Server Role Requirements Calculator which has fixed CAS and HT memory calculations formulas to not report #NAME when designing site resilient topologie.

Now we have new version, on 06/07/2013 Exchange 2010 Server Role Requirements Calculator version 20.8

This version has fixed an error with secondary CAS CPU calculations.

Exchange 2010 Server Role Requirements Calculator v20.7

Last time we wrote about new requirements calculator for Exchange 2013 and also for Exchange 2010.

Unfortunately Exchange 2010 Requirements Calculator in version 20.6 has some problems with memory calculations formulas when designing site resilient topologies for CAS or HT.

Exchange 2013 requirements calculator – not yet but soon

Exchange Team Blog,placed entry with quite extensive information about requirements for Microsoft Exchange 2013 on the amount of space, CPU, RAM, and other information needed to plan the implementation of Exchange 2013 environment.

This information has been compiled from a number of implementation and testing of Exchange 2013. Nevertheless, it is still not an official Microsoft document setting out the requirements for Exchange 2013 on the issues of hardware, disk space and other.

This is official release of Exchange Team guidance.

All information came from internal deployments of Exchange 2013, as well as from customer feedback.

You will see further updates to our sizing and capacity planning guidance in two forms: changes to the numbers mentioned in this document, as well as further guidance on specific areas not covered here.

Exchange Team ask you to let them know if you find something what is missing in this “document” and should be.
