Yesterday 31/07/2012, Microsoft launched a new service called Mail Outlook.com.
The name comes of course from the popular email client available in the office productivity suite Microsoft Office, so that everyone will be able to immediately associate the domain outlook.com with Microsoft.
In the beginning was to refresh the services billed Hotmail.com but Microsoft decided to launch a new project which will keep existing services offered by Hotmail, adding a modern look and a few features.
Anyone who so far had an account at Hotmail.com can decide whether to remain with his current address @hotmail.com whether you want to change it to new one @outlook.com
New features include integration with Skype Outlook.com mail. Just select on one of our contacts, chat button to automatically launch Skype call without having to install it on your computer.
Additionally, mail is to be integrated with Facebook, Microsoft Office Web Apps will be added on a cloud-based solutions, the ability to save files directly to disk from the post SkyDrive.
Accounts of Outlook.com appear like mushrooms after rain, Microsoft boasts that in the first 6 hours of operation of the new services have been founded more than a million accounts.
