Yesterday Microsoft announced that Microsoft Outlook Configuration Analyzer Tool 2.0 will be replaced by tool OffCAT.
The OffCAT tool provides all of the same functionality as the OCAT tool, but it also allows you to scan more Office programs (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

The Office Configuration Analyzer Tool 1.0 (OffCAT ) provides a quick and easy method to analyze several Microsoft Office programs for common configurations that may cause problems. This can be very useful for busy Help Desk personnel when end-users call for help with Office programs or when you want to proactively identify possible issues.
Supported operating systems: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Windows XP Service Pack 3
This download works with the following Microsoft Office products:
- Microsoft Office 2013 (32-bit or 64-bit, Click-to-run or Msi installs)
- Microsoft Office 2010 (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Microsoft Office 2007
- Microsoft Office 2003 (Offline Scans only)
Note, OffCAT version 1 provides scanning for the following Office programs:
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Microsoft Word
The following minimum version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is required:
- Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0
